Digital fabric printer case
We were inspired by the automotive world to design this casing for the digital printer, the result of an exciting co-design project presented at ITMA 2023. It generated significant interest due to its completely new language within the category, allowing the brand to become immediately recognizable.
The aerodynamic styling emphasizes the high performance of the technology: the volumes and graphics are carefully studied to direct the gaze towards the heart of the machine and highlight its high performance, creating maximum coherence between the function of the external surfaces and the internal components.
Let’s Design
The ergonomic design includes elements—such as light feedback, semi-transparent glossy black polycarbonate panels that reduce visual noise, and handles with durable yet pleasant-to-the-touch carbon fiber finishes—that interact with the operator, making the use safe and comfortable.
Let’s Solve
Every detail was carefully examined during the design process: the control panel, the buttons, the dynamic shapes of the storage compartments, the LED pattern, and even the fastening systems are all designed to strongly characterize the printer while simultaneously enhancing the user experience.
The flexible configuration allows for the expandability of the accessory package and components (tanks, print heads, etc.) while maintaining the base structure unchanged, thus contributing to prolonging its lifespan.
We also developed various opening solutions to facilitate maintenance and a modular assembly system to simplify transportation and on-site assembly.
This casing is an example of our expertise in bespoke industrial design.
